While
massive open online courses (MOOCs) received a lot of attention last year, they
weren’t the only thing to impact technology in education during 2012. In this
five-minute video, Jeff Young, technology editor for The Chronicle of Higher
Education, talks with Educause Review Online about some of the trends that
emerged last year and what he thinks will be the big ed-tech stories in 2013.
Among the
points Young makes is that IT staffs on higher education campuses are being
stretched to the limit by more demands for technology in coursework and for
support of an ever-proliferating array of personal devices.
