According to an
article from Wired Campus, last week during a speech at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bill Gates said that his foundation, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is looking to support innovation in open courseware. Gates commented,
“What's been done so far has had very modest funding. This is an area we need more resources, more bright minds, and certainly one that I want to see how the foundation could make a contribution to this." Gates commended MIT for its open courseware efforts but pointed out that there is still much work to be done to make courses more interactive and easier to find.
