An interesting new iPhone App for textbook comparison shopping has been released. The app is called
Bigwords and it utilizes a process called “Multi-Item Price Optimization” to search 30 sources to determine the best deal for a student’s textbook shopping list. The sources include sites such as Amazon, CourseSmart, textbook.com, and sellbackyourbooks.com. According to a
posting on the Gadgetwise blog, the company says that utilizing the app can save students over 35 percent compared to buying online without the search engine.
